Chapel Hill Event – "Trans Kids, Our Kids"
Please join us for the Chapel Hill, North Carolina stop of the TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS book tour! Trans Kids, Our Kids: Stories and Resources from the Frontlines of the Movement for Transgender Youth is a new book that takes readers inside the movement for transgender youth, told through narratives that will open your eyes, break your heart, and give you hope.
The book is co-written by team members from the Campaign for Southern Equality, a leader in the work to protect trans youth and their families across the South and, through the Trans Youth Emergency Project, nationwide.
For this stop in Chapel Hill, we are proud to partner with Equality NC. This stop in Chapel Hill will include a reading from TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS; a panel discussion that includes co-authors Alexis Stratton, Adam Polaski, and Jasmine Beach-Ferrara, cover designer Liz Williams, and a local family featured in the book; a Q&A focused on how you can take action; remarks from Equality NC; and a book signing.
Please RSVP for this free event – and, if you're able, add a donation that will directly support trans and queer youth. All proceeds from the sales of TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS will support the Trans Youth Emergency Project, which helps families of trans youth navigate anti-transgender healthcare restrictions. Books will be available for purchase by Flyleaf Books on-site at the event, or you can pre-order it here.
