Join us to Celebrate 10 Years of the Freedom to Marry

Join us to celebrate the ten year anniversary of the Obergefell v. Hodges marriage equality decision, which legalized marriage between same-sex couples for every US state. This historic moment was the product of decades of tireless organizing, and marriage equality has helped countless LGBTQ+ people build the families and lives they deserve.

For this special event, we are proud to partner with Central Alabama Pride, Alabama Equality, and feature remarks from leaders in the movement and families whose lives were changed by this decision. An exciting lineup of speakers includes:

➡️ Doug Jones, former United States Senator from Alabama
➡️ Evan Wolfson, founder of Freedom to Marry
➡️ Rev. Carmarion Anderson-Harvey, LGBTQ+ Advocate, Faith & Community Leader
➡️ Shante Wolfe of Alabama Equality
➡️ Rev. Laura Hutchinson, Pastor of First Christian Church in Anniston
➡️ Michael Rudulph, Marine Corps veteran, social worker, and husband to Alabama state Rep. Neil Rafferty
➡️ Rev. Jasmine Beach-Ferrara, Executive Director of the Campaign for Southern Equality

A casual reception with complimentary drinks and dessert will follow. Please RSVP to confirm your attendance.
