Biloxi, MS Event – "Trans Kids, Our Kids"

Please join us for a very special event in Biloxi, MS that will highlight two books about transgender young people! Meet with the teams behind Trans Kids, Our Kids: Stories and Resources from the Frontlines of the Movement for Transgender Youth and American TeenagerTrans Kids, Our Kids is co-written by team members from the Campaign for Southern Equality, a leader in the work to protect trans youth and their families across the South and, through the Trans Youth Emergency Project, nationwide. American Teenager is written by author Nico Lang.

For this stop in Biloxi, we are proud to partner with the TRANS Program and The Law Firm, Bufete Legal. The event will include a reading from TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS and AMERICAN TEENAGER; a panel discussion that includes authors Alexis Stratton, Jasmine Beach-Ferrara, and Nico Lang, cover designer Liz Williams, and Jensen Matar of the TRANS Program; a Name and Gender Marker Change Clinic, led by Attorney Sarah Schnaithman of The Law Firm, Bufete Legal; a Q&A focused on how you can take action; and a book signing.

Please RSVP for this free event – and, if you're able, add a donation that will directly support trans and queer youth.  All proceeds from the sales of TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS will support the Trans Youth Emergency Project, which helps families of trans youth navigate anti-transgender healthcare restrictions. Books will be available for purchase at the event, or you can pre-order it here.
