Washington, D.C. Event – "Trans Kids, Our Kids"
This event has been rescheduled for Monday, November 25th, at 7PM at Politics & Prose (5015 Connecticut Ave NW). Click here to RSVP to TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS Washington, D.C.
Please join us for the Washington, D.C. stop of the TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS book tour! Trans Kids, Our Kids: Stories and Resources from the Frontlines of the Movement for Transgender Youth is a new book that takes readers inside the movement for transgender youth, told through narratives that will open your eyes, break your heart, and give you hope.
The book is co-written by team members from the Campaign for Southern Equality, a leader in the work to protect trans youth and their families across the South and, through the Trans Youth Emergency Project, nationwide.
This stop in Washington, D.C. will include a reading from TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS; a panel discussion that includes Gillian Branstetter, Communications Strategist for the ACLU, co-author Adam Polaski, cover designer Liz Williams, and the Campaign for Southern Equality's Allison Scott; a Q&A focused on how you can take action; and a book signing.
Please RSVP for this free event – and, if you're able, add a donation that will directly support trans and queer youth. All proceeds from the sales of TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS will support the Trans Youth Emergency Project, which helps families of trans youth navigate anti-transgender healthcare restrictions. Books will be available for purchase by Politics & Prose on-site at the event, or you can pre-order it here.
