New York Event – "Trans Kids, Our Kids"

Please join us for the New York, NY stop of the TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS book tour! Trans Kids, Our Kids: Stories and Resources from the Frontlines of the Movement for Transgender Youth is a new book that takes readers inside the movement for transgender youth, told through narratives that will open your eyes, break your heart, and give you hope.

The book is co-written by team members from the Campaign for Southern Equality, a leader in the work to protect trans youth and their families across the South and, through the Trans Youth Emergency Project, nationwide.

For this stop in New York, we are proud to welcome special guest Alexia Korberg, a nationally-recognized constitutional impact attorney who has litigated cases like Windsor v. United States, the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case, and cases concerning transgender equality. This event will include a conversation with Alexia; a reading from TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS; a panel discussion that includes co-authors Alexis Stratton and Adam Polaski, and cover designer Liz Williams; a Q&A focused on how you can take action; and a book signing. We are also proud to welcome our partners New York Transgender Advocacy Group and Trans Latinx Network as special guests.

Please RSVP for this free event – and, if you're able, add a donation that will directly support trans and queer youth.  All proceeds from the sales of TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS will support the Trans Youth Emergency Project, which helps families of trans youth navigate anti-transgender healthcare restrictions. Books will be available for purchase by Bluestockings Cooperative Bookstore on-site at the event, or you can pre-order it here.
