Virtual "Trans Kids, Our Kids" Event for Trans Awareness Week
Please join us for a special virtual stop of the TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS book tour! Trans Kids, Our Kids: Stories and Resources from the Frontlines of the Movement for Transgender Youth is a new book that takes readers inside the movement for transgender youth, told through narratives that will open your eyes, break your heart, and give you hope. For Trans Awareness Week, we're hosting a virtual book event so anyone, regardless of where you live, can join us to celebrate these stories, discuss some of the challenges our community is facing, and spend some good time in queer community.
The book is co-written by team members from the Campaign for Southern Equality, a leader in the work to protect trans youth and their families across the South and, through the Trans Youth Emergency Project, nationwide.
This event will include a reading from TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS; a panel discussion that includes co-authors Alexis Stratton and Adam Polaski, and cover designer Liz Williams; a guided conversation about the book; a Q&A focused on how you can take action; and a conversation with Van Bailey, a patient navigator with the Trans Youth Emergency Project.
Please RSVP for this free event – and, if you're able, add a donation that will directly support trans and queer youth. All proceeds from the sales of TRANS KIDS, OUR KIDS will support the Trans Youth Emergency Project, which helps families of trans youth navigate anti-transgender healthcare restrictions. Click here to order the book from a publisher of your choice.
